Meet Dr. Murray

Roger Y. Murray, M.D.

Roger Y. Murray, M.D. graduated from Medical University of South Carolina in 1977, after which he did an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Family Practice.

He became Board Certified in 1980, and recertified in 1987. From 1980-1981 he was the Emergency Room Physician at Florida Hospital in Altamonte, Florida. He has been in private practice in Altamonte Springs since 1981.

His interest in Phlebology started in 1987. Having been a speaker for Hoechst-Roussel on Peripheral Vascular Disease, (which deals with arterial disease of the legs) for five years, Dr. Murray wanted to know more about venous diseases of the legs. What started out as just attending a conference to expand his horizons, has developed into the passion of his professional life.

He studied extensively both at home and abroad for three years before actually beginning to practice Phlebology. He is now a member of the North American Society of Phlebology and Canadian Society of Phlebology and continues to lecture on both arterial and venous leg disease.
